Code of Conduct & Rules

The Windward Baseball League is built on respect, safety, and fun. Everyone who steps onto the field — players, coaches, parents, and spectators — agrees to uphold this code.

Our Promise

The WBL Code of Conduct

Youth baseball is about more than the scoreboard. At WBL, the goal is to give the keiki of Oʻahu a positive place to learn the game, build friendships, and grow in confidence. That only works when all of us — on and off the field — model good sportsmanship. By participating in WBL, you agree to the standards below.

⚾ For Players

  • Play hard, play fair, and have fun.
  • Respect your coaches, umpires, teammates, and opponents.
  • Win with humility and lose with grace.
  • Listen to your coaches and always give your best effort.
  • No bullying, taunting, or unsportsmanlike behavior — ever.

👪 For Parents & Fans

  • Cheer positively for all the keiki on the field.
  • Let the coaches coach and the umpires officiate.
  • Be a role model of good sportsmanship in the stands.
  • No abusive language or harassment of players, coaches, or officials.
  • Keep it fun and pressure-free — they’re kids first.

📋 For Coaches

  • Put safety, fun, and development ahead of winning.
  • Teach the fundamentals and good sportsmanship.
  • Treat every player, family, and official with respect.
  • Lead by example — your team follows your tone.
  • Give every player a chance to learn and contribute.
